Life Groups

Opportunities for Fellowship and Service for Families and Adults.

What is a Life Group?

Some churches call them small groups or home fellowship. We call them "Life Groups" to emphasize our need to do life together.

What does a Life Group do?

This is pretty exciting, because each Life Group decides on its own what they will study and how they will serve. Some go through a book of the bible, others use a study book, some just get together for a meal and conversation and still others just chat over coffee.

We do stress that a Life Group is more than just a bible study, it is there to serve one another and the community.

Each Life Group leader is better able to explain their emphasis.

I don't know where to start?

It can be overwhelming and even a bit scary to go up to someone and ask if you can join their group. The leadership team is here to help. Contact us with this forum and let's find a group that is right for you.

Tim and Sarah Miessler offer their home on the 1st and 3rd Monday nights (6:30pm to 7:30pm) as a great place to start your Life Group journey (nursery care is provided!!!). Email Tim and he will get you set up.

In the main hallway, there is a physical map with all the Life Groups marked, so you can see what might be near you.

What kind of commitment is there?

Since each life group is different the commitment level is different. Most of them are pretty clear that you can come when you can make it and if you can't make it a week, no big deal.

Some Life Groups are an hour long some longer, it just depends. The Life Group leader will be able to tell you this ahead of time.

You are welcome to try different ones and start and stop anytime you want.

Where and when do Life Groups meet?

Each Life Group has it own schedule and location. Some meet at the church facility others in their homes still others at a coffee shop. Some meet weekly or bi-weekly and others monthly.

Often times people will use the various bible studies available through the week sort of as their Life Group or community to connect with. Check out the Event page to see what bible studies are happening this week.

Is there nursery care?

Again, it depends on the Life Group - some do and some don't. The groups that meet at our Calvary facility often have nursery care and will be listed as "Nursery Provided."

I can't find one that is right for me.

Everyone has a different schedule, wants and needs in a Life Group. If one does not work for you, try another.

Let the Leadership Team know what and when you are looking for something and maybe other people are wanting the same thing and we can start a new Life Group! We can start a group with as little as 3 people and you might just be one of them.

Got questions?

If you have further questions concerning our Life Groups don't hesitate to contact us and visit the map display in the front hallway by the sanctuary.
