What defines and motivates Calvary?
There is no way we can summarize everything that we believe and practice into simple bullet points. Although, we have identified these as core values that help define us and sets the culture for Calvary.
We are Jesus-centered and you will find Him in all we do. We are in awe of the amazing love of God and we honor Him with excellence in our worship, work, words, and character.
We need each other to grow and make a difference in this world. We grow by gathering in circles (Life Groups) and rows (big groups). No one is an island, we are a body.
We are a church where it's okay to not be okay. We believe God loves us as we are, yet His love and truth compels us toward living like Jesus Christ. We are being transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit from the inside out.
God gave everything, therefore we have nothing to lose! We have enough and we trust Him when we share with the needy and with the ministry of Calvary.
We are passionate about people far from God and will never stop caring about those outside the walls of the church. The gospel can change anyone at any stage of life.
We are spiritual contributors, not spiritual consumers. The church (and staff) does not exist to take care of us. You are the church and you exist as the visible hands of Jesus to those around you. So, at Calvary Church we don’t wait for the pastors to minister to others, when we see a need, we step in and begin to love and serve.
